Have You Ever Tried Explaining Sneaker Raffles To Non-Sneakerheads? 🤦♂️
How Sole Retriever Uses Raffles To Give Back
On this week’s episode of the podcast, I caught up with 2 of the 3 owners of Sole Retriever, a company that aggregates every sneaker raffle you can imagine from all around the globe. They’ve built an impressive community by providing a service to both consumers and other communities— if you’re a member of the Sneaker History Discord, you’ve seen how impressive these guys’ service is.
What I didn’t think of before talking to them is how weird the idea of a “sneaker raffle” is to people that are not into sneakers. Think about it. We get excited when we WIN THE CHANCE TO BUY sneakers. It’s crazy. I’ve always known I was crazy. I’ve always known sneakerheads were crazy but this really stuck with me.
What impressed me the most from my conversation with Harry and Cole is their commitment to doing something good with the platform they’re building. From raising awareness for social injustices earlier in 2020 to partnering with up-and-coming artists, the future is bright for these young entrepreneurs and I’m excited to see them bringing some positive vibes to the sneaker game.
